THE T&T CHAMBER STRONGLY URGES FOR PROGRESS ON PROCUREMENT LEGISLATION

The Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce (T&T Chamber) strongly urges Parliament to allow operationalisation of the substantive provisions of The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public
Property Act, 1 of 2015. The T&T Chamber, in partnership with other members of the Private Sector/Civil Society Group on Public procurement, has been a strong advocate for the efficient and effective implementation of the Act.

Businesses can play a part in addressing issues of domestic violence

Following Monday’s tragic homicide – suicide, the outcome of a domestic abuse situation, the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce extends our condolences to the families of those involved, and indeed to all families of victims of similar deadly acts of domestic
violence.
It is quite clear that we have a substantial social problem that is becoming a significant crime problem.

MATRADE is the Malaysian government organization with the responsibility for promoting Malaysian products and services overseas, and for monitoring cross-border investment opportunities for Malaysian companies.

The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce has been following the unfolding discussions on the proposed amendments to the Freedom of Information Act, Chapter 22:02 (FOIA).It was unfortunate that introduction of this very important piece of legislation on the Parliamentary agenda did not allow for this matter to have public consultation.
