Tobago Division Elections 2019

The Annual General Meeting of the Tobago Division of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce (TTCIC) was held on Monday March 18, 2019 at its office, Level 3, ANSA Building, Milford Road, Scarborough, Tobago.

Both TTCIC’s Senior Vice President (SVP), Mr. Reyaz Ahamad, and its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Gabriel Faria, observed the meeting.



CHAMBER SAYS A LOST OPPORTUNITY

The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce is disappointed to hear of the decision of Sandals resorts to abandon their quest for a Tobago location. It has been over two and a half years since the initial announcement that the government was negotiating to bring the Sandals brand to Tobago. The MOU took one year and three months to negotiate and still had not reached the stage at which the parties would have been able to conclude commercial arrangements.

Flood Reflief

 The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce expresses our sympathy to those who were affected by the adverse weather events this past weekend. As part of the Joint Chambers – a coalition of business services organisations that includes the American Chamber of Commerce, the Energy Chamber, the Manufacturers’ Association, the Coalition of Service Industries and the T&T Chamber – we have mobilised our members to provide support to flood victims. We are also working with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) such as the Living Water Community (among many others), to assist wherever possible. Today, we will be sharing a list of drop-off locations and bank account numbers through which concerned citizens can make financial donations.
