For Edition 3 of our Masters of Industry Lunch N Learn Series 2018, we are very proud to have the third generation in a line of incredibly successful entrepreneurs, Mr. Anthony N. Sabga III, Group Business Development Executive of the ANSA McAL Group of Companies.

ANSA McAL is a household name in the T&T and represents one of the most successful and progressive group of companies in the entire region. Originally founded by Anthony’s grandfather, Dr. Anthony N. Sabga, ANSA McAL now comprises of 73 companies in over 8 territories, and offers world renowned brands and product services as well as state of the art infrastructure, in over 30 markets across the world and employs a population of close to 6,000 people.

Anthony N. Sabga III began his career with the Group at Trinidad Publishing Company (now Guardian Media Ltd) as the Promotions Manager. After completing his MBA, Anthonyreturned to Trinidad and took up the role of Head Office Executive and was responsible for Strategic Development of the Group’s IT Infrastructure, as well as the introduction of the Balanced Score Card and Strategic Management Frameworks.

He went on to hold positions of General Manager at Classic Motors and President of Carib Beer USA.  After several different roles throughout the Group, Anthony returned again to ANSA McAL’s Head Office in Trinidad and Tobago in 2010 and assumed the role as the Group Business Development Executive. Anthony has also held several directorships both within and external to the ANSA McAL Group.

Given Anthony’s unique position we thought that we could explore a coupe topics with him, namely:

1. Navigating a family dominated business as the 3rd generation

2. ANSA McAL’s method for developing its strategy and how that thinking can be applied to smaller family enterprises/offices to great effect
