The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce notes with sadness the passing of
its former President, L.A.R. Hackshaw. “Len” as he was familiarly known, served as a Director
of the T&T Chamber, eventually being elected by the Board to serve as President for two
consecutive terms over 1984-1986.

The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce deems it wholly unsatisfactory that
members of the Labour Movement should call for citizens to riot in a show of discontent with the
National Budget measures for fiscal 2018.
The President and other senior members of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce met recently with the Honourable Minister of Finance, Permanent Secretaries and advisors of the Finance Ministry, with a view to presenting the Chamber’s recommendations for the upcoming National Budget presentation early next month.
