About the Event

Celebrating the people and enterprises advancing our business landscape

The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce proudly presents Champions of Business 2026: In the Spirit of Excellence — celebrating the people and enterprises whose vision, resilience, innovation and leadership continue to advance Trinidad and Tobago’s business landscape.

Established in 1879, the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce has a long history of championing enterprise and recognizing the contribution of business to national development. What began as a modest ceremony in the Chamber’s Board Room, with the posthumous induction of founding member Joseph Leon Agostini, would steadily grow beyond its humble beginnings into one of the Chamber’s signature celebrations of business excellence.

Formally established in 2005 as the Business Hall of Fame, the initiative expanded and was rebranded as Champions of Business in 2014, extending its reach to recognize excellence across Trinidad and Tobago’s business community. Today, Champions of Business celebrates achievement across business leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainability, small and medium enterprise development, export growth, internationalization and enduring business legacy.

In 2026, Champions of Business enters a new chapter with the introduction of the Caribbean Services Exporter of the Year Award, expanding the initiative’s recognition of businesses successfully taking Trinidad and Tobago’s expertise, talent and services into regional and international markets.

The celebration culminates with the Champions of Business 2026 Gala Awards Finale and Cocktail Reception on Wednesday 4 November 2026, bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, partners and professionals to recognize the outstanding achievements of the business community.

Business Hall of Fame

The Business Hall of Fame represents the enduring legacy at the heart of Champions of Business.

Established in 2005, the Business Hall of Fame recognises distinguished business leaders whose vision, leadership and lifetime achievements have made a significant and lasting contribution to the development of Trinidad and Tobago’s business community and wider society.

Each year, outstanding individuals are inducted into the Business Hall of Fame, honouring not only their accomplishments in enterprise but the legacy they have created for future generations of business leaders.

The T&T Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to Massy Group for supporting the 2026 Business Hall of Fame and joining us in recognising the exceptional individuals whose contributions have helped shape Trinidad and Tobago’s business landscape.

Internationally Known… T&T Owned Company of the Year

The Internationally Known… T&T Owned Company of the Year Award celebrates a Trinidad and Tobago company that has successfully built its presence beyond our shores.

The Award recognises excellence in local, regional and international performance, highlighting a company that has demonstrated the ability to build export capacity, strengthen its competitiveness and successfully internationalise its business.

It celebrates the ambition and capability of home-grown enterprises that continue to take Trinidad and Tobago brands, products and expertise into markets around the world.

The T&T Chamber thanks the Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism for its continued support of this Award and its commitment to advancing the international competitiveness of Trinidad and Tobago businesses.

Breakthrough Exporter of the Year

The Breakthrough Exporter of the Year Award recognises an emerging Trinidad and Tobago business that has successfully entered export markets and demonstrated meaningful growth beyond the domestic market.

The Award celebrates businesses that have transformed export ambition into opportunity — developing new markets, building international relationships and demonstrating the potential of Trinidad and Tobago enterprises to compete globally.

The T&T Chamber extends its appreciation to EXIMBANK Trinidad and Tobago Limited for its continued support of the Breakthrough Exporter of the Year Award and for helping businesses pursue opportunities beyond our shores.

Green Agenda Award

The Green Agenda Award recognises businesses and organisations demonstrating leadership in building a more sustainable future.

The Award celebrates organisations that have embedded environmentally responsible practices into their operations and are taking meaningful action in areas such as energy efficiency, sustainable business practices, environmental stewardship and community engagement.

Through this category, Champions of Business recognises that business excellence must also encompass responsibility — encouraging enterprises to innovate, grow and contribute to a greener and more sustainable Trinidad and Tobago.

The T&T Chamber thanks Proman Trinidad for supporting the 2026 Green Agenda Award and for partnering with us in recognising businesses helping to advance sustainability.

Entrepreneurship Award

The Entrepreneurship Award celebrates the individuals and businesses transforming ideas into growing enterprises.

The Award highlights entrepreneurs who have demonstrated strong growth, leadership, resilience and the ability to identify and pursue opportunities. Recipients represent the drive, creativity and determination that continue to strengthen Trinidad and Tobago’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The T&T Chamber proudly thanks Republic Bank for its continued support of the Entrepreneurship Award and its commitment to encouraging the development of Trinidad and Tobago’s entrepreneurs.

SME Awards – Small & Medium

Small and medium-sized enterprises are fundamental to economic growth, employment and innovation.

The SME Awards recognise outstanding businesses across two categories — Small Enterprise and Medium Enterprise — that demonstrate strong business performance, effective leadership, customer focus, responsible business practices and a commitment to continuous innovation and growth.

The Awards celebrate enterprises that are not only building successful businesses but are also contributing to the resilience and dynamism of Trinidad and Tobago’s economy.

The T&T Chamber extends its appreciation to Republic Bank for supporting both the Small and Medium SME Awards and for its continued investment in the growth and development of the SME sector.

Innovation Award

The Innovation Award celebrates businesses and individuals that challenge convention, embrace new possibilities and translate innovative thinking into tangible results.

The Award recognises the development or application of innovative solutions, services and technologies that respond to evolving market needs, enhance productivity and create meaningful value for customers, businesses or communities.

From emerging technologies and digital transformation to new business models and creative solutions, this category showcases how innovation can drive competitiveness and economic transformation.

The T&T Chamber thanks Media 22 Ltd for supporting the 2026 Innovation Award and joining us in recognising the ideas and innovators moving business forward.

Caribbean Services Exporter of the Year Award

New to Champions of Business in 2026, the Caribbean Services Exporter of the Year Award recognises excellence in the export of services and celebrates Trinidad and Tobago businesses successfully extending their expertise into regional and international markets.

As services play an increasingly important role in regional trade and economic diversification, this Award shines a spotlight on businesses that are demonstrating the capacity of Trinidad and Tobago’s services sector to compete beyond our borders.

The category recognises enterprises that have successfully developed exportable services, expanded their market reach and demonstrated strong potential for continued international growth.

Its introduction to Champions of Business reflects the evolving nature of trade and provides a dedicated platform to recognise the talent, knowledge and expertise that Trinidad and Tobago businesses are taking to the Caribbean and the wider world.

The T&T Chamber proudly thanks the Caribbean Export Development Agency for supporting the inaugural Caribbean Services Exporter of the Year Award and partnering with us to recognise and advance the region’s services exporters.
