Job Title: Marketing Coordinator 

Reports to: Manager, Brand Development and Public Relations 

Job Description:

The Marketing Coordinator will support the T&T Chamber’s marketing campaigns and the promotion of the company’s products and services. This role involves creating copy for marketing materials, websites, social media, and other platforms, as well as monitoring and reporting on content engagement. All responsibilities should aim to maintain exceptional service levels for both internal and external stakeholders while adhering to all legal, regulatory, and statutory guidelines. 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Develop and design promotional materials; create, review, edit, and update content for marketing materials, company websites, blogs, social media, and other platforms.
  • Monitor traditional and social media, as well as the company website; track engagement with posted content, analyze metrics, and report findings.
  • Promote content and initiatives on social networks; use social media to engage with the target audience, respond to inquiries, and optimize content using SEO best practices to increase site traffic.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, developments, and public perceptions; provide recommendations on new strategies to promote company offerings and reach targeted audiences; document and report findings with suggested actions.
  • Assist the Unit in various tasks assigned by the Line Manager within the scope of the role.
  • Provide the necessary information to the Manager of Brand Development and Public Relations to ensure effective budgetary control over specific marketing activities.
  • Write and edit copy for marketing materials, adhering to the required secondary editing and proofing processes by another team member.
  • Make recommendations for improving the Chamber’s digital presence, including the website, blogs, social media, SEO, and other optimization strategies.

 

Administrative Responsibilities  

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of events hosted by the Brand Development and Public Relations Unit; follow up on any receivables related to event registrations.
  • Ensure proper archiving of the T&T Chamber’s digital assets, including marketing materials, photos, videos, and other content.
  • Attend internal and external meetings and events as required, both during and outside regular office hours; act as a representative for the Manager of Brand Development and Public Relations when necessary.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.

 

Qualifications and Experience  

  • A first degree in Marketing or equivalent qualifications in Graphic Design, social media, Market Research & Analysis, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in marketing, preferably with a focus on service marketing, and a strong understanding of marketing techniques and concepts.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of digital media trends and developments in SEM/SEO, mobile, video, email, social media, and affiliate programs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and graphic design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, CANVA); experience with website design, content management systems (CMS), WordPress/HTML, CSS, Google AdWords, Google Analytics, blogging, SEO, e-commerce, and social networking linkages or other web solutions/applications.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively; flexible with strong project management skills.
  • Excellent command of English language grammar and spelling.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices.
  • Proficient in social media interfaces, analytics, and metrics.
