FURTHER CLARIFICATION NEEDED ON PROPERTY TAX

In his Budget Presentation for fiscal 2016/2017 last October, the Honourable Minister of Finance put the population on notice that Property Tax will be re-introduced as a much-needed source of revenue for the country. Last week’s announcement by the Ministry of Finance, therefore, came as no real surprise.

T&T CHAMBER ADVOCATES PROPER INTER-ISLAND TRANSPORT SERVICES

It comes as no surprise to us, at the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce, that the Superfast Galicia is being pulled from the inter-island transport service. Since December 1, 2016, it had been well documented that the vessel was scheduled to operate on a route in the Mediterranean Sea in May 2017.

 

T&T CHAMBER WELCOMES NEW PRESIDENT

The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce wishes to announce the appointment of Mr. Ronald Hinds as President of the T&T Chamber, with effect from March 22, 2017.
